Laura Dacey · your coach

I take the work seriously. I still dance between sets.

I’m Laura. HYROX athlete, certified coach, former musical theatre artist, and usually the bubbliest person on the gym floor. “Soul-loving fitness” is how I put it: ambitious training with room to be a person.

I’m based in Palm Beach, QLD, and I run a Sunday run club with Lululemon. I love the sessions, but I love the post-run chat just as much.

My athletes are in the UK, Iceland, the USA, Australia, the UAE and Thailand. The big vision is simple: hybrid athletes who first met online finding each other at races around the world.

Warm coach. Straight answers. Questionable dance moves.

I race it, then coach what works

I competed at the HYROX World Championships in Nice in 2024, Chicago in 2025 and Stockholm in 2026. I know the noise, the transitions, and the point where a tidy race plan meets tired legs.

I also know most training happens on normal days, around work and everything else. That is the part I coach just as closely.

How I coach

Clear enough to follow, flexible enough for life

My line has always been simple: train with intent, recover well, and show up ready.

Train with intent

Every session needs a reason. If I can’t explain why it is in your week, it doesn’t belong there.

Recover well

More work is not always better work. I build the engine without asking your body to pay for it every day.

Show up ready

Your pacing, taper and race strategy should feel familiar before the start line, not invented on the morning.

Let’s have a chat.

Fifteen minutes on a video call. Tell me where you’re at and I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right coach for it.
